Barrack Obama said he felt ‘choked” while bestowing this honour on Ellen( a very emotional Ellen who broke into tears) at the White House, this 22 November… as he is overwhelmed with emotions.
The president was in admiration of Ellen DeGeneres’s courage for coming out to the world about her homosexuality.
While she may not need an introduction for many, Ellen is actually a 58 year old television host. She has her own show and she is also a multi-talented comedian . She came out as lesbian in 1997 and despite the mediatic and societal backlashes at that time, here she is now going strong and braving all odds… Go go go Ellen !!!
